Bergen Community College student Ece Mutluer is studying business and finance to become a successful business owner. She plans to gain experience in the finance world before journeying into entrepreneurship.
Mutluer is one of 10 student interns in the inaugural data analyst program offered in spring 2025 under the College’s Bergen for Business workforce development initiative. In this program, she serves as a Small Business Consultant at SizeUp Bergen where she obtains hands-on knowledge and experience in data analytics.
“Bergen has endless opportunities no matter what major you’d like to pursue,” said Mutluer. “From literature to science, you have more activities you can be a part of than you could imagine.”
As an active student on campus, Mutluer is involved in several key student organizations and clubs. She serves as the co-founder and president for the Model United Nations Club, the co-founder and co-president for Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), the treasurer for the Legal Studies Club, and the Academic Affairs Committee Chair for the Student Government Association (SGA).
“Staying connected with the community made me successful,” said Mutluer. “No matter which club I was a part of or which leadership positions I took, one main thing that always motivated me was actually the friends I made along the way.”
She expects to graduate in 2025.
